Are you prepared to make a difference? A unique opportunity has arisen to actively promote health and wellbeing through innovation, knowledge and behaviour change to enable positive, engaging and memorable student experiences!

As Wellness Director you will develop and lead innovative health, wellness, sport and physical activity programmes which are embedded in the broader strategy of student success across UC. You will partner and collaborate across the organisation and with external providers, stakeholders and sporting bodies, providing knowledge, resources and tools that will enable your team to deliver exceptional quality health and wellness services to our students whilst supporting UC's vision, culture and growth of a world-class learning environment.

Supporting the Executive Director of Student Services and Communications you will have extensive strategic leadership experience potentially in health, tertiary administration, sports and recreation or student affairs. Leading a team of approximately 55 staff, your responsibilities will include:

  • providing strategic leadership for wellbeing, sport and physical activity for all students and staff at UC, with a focus on maximising participation
  • providing innovative direction for high quality programmes comprising health, counselling, wellness promotion, sport and recreation in a manner consistent with UC's vision
  • developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community agencies and organisations to leverage resources and enhance UC's reputation and attraction to students and staff
  • enhancing visibility of existing services, improve health promotion and maximise the benefits from existing and new partnerships
  • ensuring that specialist technical expertise is aligned with Academic research and teaching and that employability opportunities for students are enhanced.
